Physics Visitation Day

A day designed to let high school juniors and seniors as well as their parents and teachers tour the physics research labs, participate in hands-on physics activities plus interact with faculty and physics students.
A total of 17 high school students and 12 parents and teachers from 6 different high schools joined 8 SC State physics majors and faculty on Saturday, November 13, 2010, for the first Physics Visitation Day. The participants engaged in a number of exciting activities including hands-on physics experiments on topics related to motion, light, cosmology and medical physics. Additionally, they visited the campus museum, saw a planetarium show, had lunch and toured the new science annex building.
