SCSU Physics Student and Faculty Present at AAS Winter 2016

Myles McKay was the lead author on a display presentation entitled “Magnetic Activity of Ultracool Dwarfs” that featured his summer research results while at the Space Telescope Science Institute. His abstract is found at here and the full presentation here.

Dr. Walter was the lead author and Drs. Cash and Smith were coauthors on a display presentation entitled “The NSF PAARE Projects at SC State” which summarized the 8 year progress of the POCA and POCA II projects. The abstract for this poster is here and the full poster is here.

Walter was also a coauthor on the display presentation entitled “Geographically Distributed Citizen Scientist Training for the 2017 Citizen CATE Experiment” which summarizes a unique nationwide collaborative study of the August2017 solar eclipse and SC State’s involvement in that project.
