NOVA Project

The School of Engineering Technology and Sciences and the Department of Physical Sciences are collaborating with the School of Education and Department of Teacher Education to enhance pre-service teachers' understanding and teaching of science with a focus is on the Physical Science course offerings. Our goals are:

• to increase the student's knowledge of scientific concepts;
• increase the student's understanding of the scientific process;
• to improve the way science is taught at the primary and secondary level; and
• to improve the performance of teacher education majors on the science components of the PRAXIS II.
